Phoenix, Arizona - Today, Glendale Mayor Elaine Scruggs endorsed Wil Cardon's bid for the U.S. Senate. Mayor Scruggs has been in office since 1993, dedicating her career to maintaining the city's history and heritage while making it a competitive economy. Mayor Scruggs' commitment to small business was even recognized by the National Association of Women Business owners. She's also been awarded for her commitment to education and community service, among many other recogitions.
In endorsing Wil Mayor Scruggs says, "While Arizona's population grew at record paces, our critical infrastructure, especially all forms of transportation, has not expanded to meet our needs. Instead, Arizona residents' federal taxes have been given to other states to improve their infrastructure. I support Wil Cardon to be our next US Senator because I believe he will represent Arizona's interests in Washington DC. He will fight for Arizona's fair share of federal funding. Wil will listen to Arizona voters and will work with me and other mayors to help us achieve sound economic growth."
For his part, Wil is honored by Mayor Scruggs' endorsement saying, "Mayor Scruggs has been a leader in our valley for more than 2 decades working tirelessly for the City of Glendale and its residents. I'm humbled to have her support and look forward to working with her to help Glendale and all the people of Arizona."
