AZ State Sen. Steve Smith Endorses Wil CardonPress Release - July 19, 2012
Phoenix, Arizona - Today, Arizona State Senator Steve Smith endorsed Wil Cardon's bid for the U.S. Senate. Sen. Smith represents Legislative District 23 which includes the city of Maricopa, where he lives. Senator Smith has spent his career working in the private sector including his current position as the director of a Phoenix-based talent agency. As an Arizona State Senator, he's committed to fighting illegal immigration, restoring economic development and improving education.
In endorsing Wil, Senator Smith said, "I support and endorse Wil Cardon in his campaign to be Arizona's next United States Senator. As a social and fiscal conservative, Wil fights for the issues that I and most Arizonans believe in like; lower taxes, limited government, fiscal responsibility, secure borders, SB 1070, the Second Amendment, defending the sanctity of life, supporting traditional marriage, and much more. Additionally, Wil's business savvy and jobs-creating record (along with the fact that he is not a career politician), is just the voice we in Arizona need to represent us in Washington."
Humbled by the Senator's endorsement Wil said, "Not only do Steve and I believe that government overregulation is strangling business, we also share an unbreakable commitment to God, family and country. Senator Smith is a principled and ethical man and I'm honored to have his support."
